My personal rule of thumb when traveling: ALWAYS GO FOR THE ICONS FIRST.
“I want Taiwan!”
That’s exactly what I said when major things I had planned this year, all suddenly took a different turn.
So after hours of trekking at Seoraksan National Park, and that rather strange dinner we had (click here for the story), it was such a treat to retire to this lovely beach-side resort–Kensington in Sokcho-si.

The world’s most livable city? I can definitely say so. The culture, all that art and the quirkiness. And have I mentioned the alleys? I have this crazy thing for alleys, and I guess I’ve had enough of them to last me till next year! O Melbourne, you enchant me!
Australia has never been in our travel plans, personally, and as a family. Not that we have anything against it, it’s just that Australia never really crossed our minds.
