You might have seen some of the stunning, romantic scenery on this island in your favorite Korean dramas, and I never thought I’d actually get to go there in my lifetime.
Great news for Korean soap fanatics, you can get to experience Jeju too! Unlike mainland South Korea, you can enter Jeju visa-free! Isn’t that worth a try?
Anyway, our flight to Jeju was at 7am on a Monday morning. We almost missed our flight because Gimpo International Airport (Seoul’s former main airport) was incredibly packed. There were tons of people also trying to make their flights. Thank God we made ours too.
Jeju is an island in the far south part of South Korea. We were in Jeju for just an overnight trip. We didn’t plan on staying long because the island is too touristy…pocket-wise. It’s kinda expensive in there. Generally, it also is warmer in Jeju than Seoul. My Korean friends said the same thing too, so I only brought my lighter jackets. But boy was it cold when we were there! I regretted it every hour we were in Jeju. That’s why, never trust your friends. Kidding! 😀
We stayed in this cute hotel in downtown Jeju, Apple Hotel. It’s in a convenient area with a Family Mart just a few steps away. You can also find some restaurants in the area. They had a good buffet breakfast too.

Just look at the queues

Sunrise at the tarmac

Touchdown Jeju!
The massive Yeomiji Botanic Garden

My brother tryna do his thing

French garden
Jusangjeolli Cliff — I didn’t quite get how the rock formations were formed but it had to do with some volcano and lava.

Check out how people are only a speck in comparison to the cliff

The wind just had to ruin my hair
Jeongbang Falls — The only waterfalls in Asia to fall directly into the ocean. Breathtaking!
Gasi-ri Canola Flower Farm — That time my hands were so frozen because it was so cold on that mountain top. The windmills just made it worse! But check out the scenery. This is probably the most iconic spot of Jeju. Many Korean dramas have been shot here. I had to endure the coldness just for photos. Oh the things we do for our vanity. haha

Canola flowers as far as you can see. Of course, I had to do my own drama in this heavily-photographed location
Day 2:
Jeju Folklore & Natural History Museum

Their traditional footwear – Chanels, Blahniks, and Louboutins. Haha

Bones of a whale that washed ashore after a strong storm that hit Jeju several years ago
Jungang Shopping Mall and some market– Subway shopping malls are pretty common. Great deals too!

Just look at how clean their market is

Every Filipino is thinking of making Crispy Pata out of these!

Fresh seafood
Lotteria — Grabbing some lunch at Korea’s very own fastfood chain
Jeju International Aiport — While waiting for our flight back to Seoul Gimpo Airport. I never really wanted to upload this because my stomach is bulging out! haha
We made back in Seoul just in time for sunset.
Nice pictures.
